An original picture of the ‘Mysterious world Wachifield’, by Ikeda Akiko. Fantastic objects, and dynamic diorama works are exhibited. We invite you to enjoy a free and wild spirited adventure of the ‘Mysterious world of Wachifield’ with Dayan the cat. Every time you go around a corner in the maze like path, you will be cast by a spell through the use of delicate colors and space, and you may find yourself lost in the ‘Mysterious world of Wachifield’.
Mysterious world of Wachifield
Wachifield is the name of a mysterious world. In here, animals stand and walk and talk. Old tradition and magic has survived. The town of Tashiel is placed at the center, and the town is surrounded by rich greenery.The main character, Dayan the cat came from Earth through snow magic. And then the adventurous days of the friends started.

Akiko Ikeda
Born in Tokyo,Japan.
Made exhibits of creative leather dolls at various work exhibitions.
Started to write stories of Cat Dayan and Wachifield in 1987.
Published her first picture book from Holp Shuppan in 1988.
Since then, she has published more than 30 titles of picture books.
Held nationwide large scale exhibitions of her original drawings for two years in 1999 and 2000 sponsored by Asahi Shimbun.
Started to write a long fantastic story to elucidate the wonder land Wachifield in 1999.
